Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Associate to join our Finance team in Sydney. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will handle key accounting and reporting functions. This role is integral to ensuring accurate and timely reporting across our regional entities. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial statement preparation, tax and regulatory compliance, and delivering results to month-end deadlines while supporting the needs of a fast-growing business across Australia, Hong Kong and other Asian markets. Your Core Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Month-End Close Accurate and timely monthly accounting and manage and deliver on strict month-end close deadlines, ensuring accuracy and completeness of results. Prepare and review half yearly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Support external audit processes, liaising effectively with auditors. Consolidate results across multiple entities and jurisdictions. Regulatory and Tax Compliance Prepare Australian compliance filings including FBT, GST and corporate tax reporting. Assist with Hong Kong regulatory compliance. Prepare and oversee compliance across other Asian jurisdictions. Business Partnering & Stakeholder Support Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to provide insights into financial results. Contribute to process improvements and finance transformation projects to support scalability. Support operational teams with timely financial information and analysis to aid decision-making. Management Accounting & Controls Ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and strengthen internal controls. Proactively identify areas for efficiency improvements in reporting and compliance processes. Your Skills and Experience: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA/CPA qualification. Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in financial accounting roles, ideally within a fast-paced or high-growth environment. Proven experience preparing financial statements and managing month-end reporting cycles. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across functions and regions. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to thrive under tight deadlines. Strong knowledge of Australian tax compliance (FBT, GST). Exposure to financial operations in other Asian markets desirable. Proficient in ERP/accounting systems with advanced Excel skills. Knowledge of Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus.
