WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE BELOW SKILLSET AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Commerce/Business or other related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Thorough reconciliation experience and strong technical accounting skills
  • Understanding of Accounting Standards, regulations and guidelines as they apply to the role
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to analyse financial information
  • Experience in the use of finance systems (Oracle would be advantageous)
  • Retail accounting experience desirable

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of general journals and accruals with associated supporting documentation
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliations and related follow up
  • Investigation into reconciling items and analysis of general ledger balances
  • Review of weekly Payment runs
  • Preparation of GST/VAT returns and management of related queries
  • Assisting with Audit and other Statutory related queries
  • Ad-hoc financial investigation and analysis as required
  • Adherence to month end and other regulatory timeline
