We are looking for an engaged Financial Accountant who brings solid expertise and a passion for FSC’s mission, to work with us in a multinational environment.
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for key finance functions as part of the operations support team. Based in Nairobi, Kenya but working in collaboration with subregional teams, this position will ensure FSC – AFRICA financial transactions are complete, accurate and comply with organisational policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Regional Director, the Financial Accountant will:

  • Manage procurements, process payments, transfers, reimbursements and manage the advance payment system.
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, and reconciliation of bank statements.
  • Follow up suppliers, grantees, and partner’s accounts.
  • Carry out regular internal audits and support external audit processes.
  • Manage and ensure safekeeping of financial records in line with best accounting and bookkeeping practices.
  • Use accounting platform and other software application, such as Excel spreadsheets, statistical packages, and graphic packages to assemble and manage accounting data for reporting purposes.
  • Provide timely and accurate processing of payroll for staff assigned.
  • Manage all FSC Africa assets and insurance policies, and keep the asset register up to date and oversee fixed asset reports from other subregional offices.
  • Provide appropriate training on financial management and administrative systems to ensure compliance by all FSC Africa staff.
