Description

We’re looking for a Group Financial Accountant to help deliver accurate, timely and automated financial reporting for our Holding Company and global consolidated Group. You’ll join a high-performing team in Amsterdam and play a key role in monthly close, audit, annual reporting and CSRD readiness—while driving operational excellence through data. WHAT YOU’LL DO Own parts of the monthly close for both Holding and Group: prepare and review journals, reconciliations and analyses to ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance with IFRS/Dutch GAAP. Advance CSRD readiness: support the Group Financial Controller with data, controls and documentation for 2027 CSRD reporting. Coordinate global audit deliverables: prepare schedules, respond to queries, and ensure high-quality evidence for external auditors. Contribute to the Annual Report & Statutory Accounts: draft notes, compile disclosures and align with stakeholders across the Group. Automate and improve use a data-driven approach to identify, prioritise and implement process automation, standardisation and reporting efficiencies. Support projects and ad-hoc topics: from policy updates to system enhancements, controls and reporting changes. WHO YOU ARE Bachelor’s degree (HBO or equivalent) in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related field. 3–5 years’ experience in financial reporting or auditing; Big 4 exposure is a plus. Working knowledge of IFRS and Dutch GAAP (formal study or practical application both welcomed). Strong toolkit in Excel (lookups, pivots, modelling; automation a plus). Experience with ERP (e.g., NetSuite) and an interest in data/automation (e.g., SQL, Power Query, Alteryx, or BI tools) is welcomed. Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills across multidisciplinary topics; proactive, “own the outcome” mindset. Clear, concise communicator in English who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Bonus if you can bring: Professional certification (RA/CPA/ACCA) in progress or completed. Exposure to consolidations, intercompany and financial controls in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment. Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and data governance for CSRD.
