We are expanding our finance team and with this exciting development, we are looking for a finance professional. You will be part of the Accounting team in Rotterdam, consisting of Financial Accountants, finance specialists and Accounts Payable Officers. The team holds an exciting mix of nationalities. Whilst our company is growing, the level of complexity increases and the scope of the work that is being done is expanding. ABOUT YOU

We are looking for person with a passion for finance. Someone who thrives in a changing environment filled with opportunities to develop themselves, adding value to our organization. We are looking for someone with the following background:

You have a Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance.

  • At least 3 years of working experience in finance.
  • Strong understanding of SAP and Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and structured way of working.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues.
  • Experience with SOX and affinity with Power BI and Blackline are nice to have.
  • You have an analytical but entrepreneurial mindset and likes to be challenged, creating structure and change in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the month end closing and contributing towards timely, accurate, reliable and complete closing and reporting.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
  • General ledger activities such as: recording, maintaining, and reconciling financial transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Actively identifying and implementing process enhancements and automation solutions.
  • Contribute to improving and executing internal controls, policies and procedures
  • Accounts receivable management, including ageing analysis, monitoring upcoming due payments, follow up on issues toegther with business.
  • Inventory controlling activities such as: reconciliations with external confirmations and periodical inventory counts.
  • Maintenance of the financial accounting mailbox.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Support with external auditors to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Supporting our VAT Specialist with the preparation of VAT returns.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights, ad hoc questions and support and recommendations.
