Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are hiring this Financial Accountant position as an initial 14-month fixed-term contract as maternity cover. We are looking to appoint the position in March 2025. This is a varied role as part of a 9-person Finance team operating within a market research agency, reporting into the Financial Controller.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Control:

  • Assisting with month end close, review of balance sheet accounts
  • Preparing & analysing sales provisions
  • Accounting for month-end overhead accruals and prepayments
  • Intercompany accounting – monthly intercompany recharges and reconciliation
  • Payroll accounting – payroll journal and reconciliation
  • Preparation of month-end accounts pack for submission to the group’s accounting system
  • Providing support with year-end audit
