As a key member of the Retail Accounting team, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for providing accurate financial reporting for our Retail, Hospitality and Estate reporting business units. This includes maintaining strong internal controls, managing integrations with our POS systems, and collaboration with our Retail and Estate business partners.
This role is hybrid and will be required in-office approximately 2-3 days per month and as business needs require during project implementation. This is a 12 month contract role.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate Retail, Hospitality, and Estate business unit reporting.
  • Responsible for reconciling and monitoring the transactions and balances between various POS systems to our ERP system Oracle.
  • Reconcile receipts to sales from collocated grocer inputs at detailed item level.
  • Preparation and posting of various monthly journal entries.
  • Responsible for timely and detailed reconciliation of various accounts with high volume and complex transactions.
  • Support teammates during the new POS implementation and testing.
  • Identify and help implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and improve controls across retail accounting functions.
  • Participate in internal control testing to ensure compliance and audit standards are being met.
  • Provide necessary support with annual external audits
