Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

In this role you will manage the AP ledger to ensure all invoices are recorded, accurate cost reporting is completed and suppliers are paid in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for producing all internal and statutory supplier reporting for review by the Directors of Finance and CFO. You will be responsible for ensuring all processes are followed when setting up new suppliers.

  • Cash Management and reporting – You will be responsible for managing all our cash and bank accounts and debt book, including producing weekly rolling cash forecasts. You will be required to make debt service payments on a quarterly basis to ensure we meet obligations in our debt agreements. You will also lead bank account access reviews and ensure bank mandates and signatory lists are maintained and up-to-date.
  • Purchase Order Process – You will work closely with the Director – Treasury and FP&A and wider business to drive adoption of a single PO model for the business. You will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring and running of the process, including performing reconciliations and ensuring PO approvals and rejections are given in a timely fashion.
  • AR - Support the Operations teams to ensure monthly billings are raised in a timely fashion, and by reviewing lease and sale agreements to ensure that transactions are correctly recorded on RRPF’s accounting and contract management systems.
  • Reporting - Support and improve month-end close processes, driving improvement and automation of management accounts production. You will also have responsibility for timely production of monthly reconciliations and monthly variance analysis feeding into monthly management accounts and to help prepare/consolidate budgets and forecasts in accordance with JV partners’ timetables. You will also jointly act as a point of contact for our auditors, dealing with audit queries within agreed deadlines.
  • Continuous improvement – A key aspect of this role will be to continually identify areas for improvement and to be proactive in implementing such changes. In addition, we want to make the month end close process more efficient and to improve the monthly results pack for senior management. You will also have the opportunity to support various ad-hoc and transactional projects.
  • Tax – You will be involved in preparing monthly VAT returns and supporting tax advisors with annual corporate tax compliance process.

  • Qualified / Part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CA) with experience in industry particularly managing AP ledgers.
  • Excellent accounting knowledge.
  • Excellent Excel, Powerpoint and other MS Office skills. Demonstrable excellent financial modelling skills will be a plus.
  • Strong teamworking, communication skills, commercially astute, can-do attitude and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Sun Systems, Hyperion, Salesforce, and accounts production software (e.g. Thomson Reuters AP) a plus.
  • Leasing industry experience and/or interest in aviation and the airline industry also a plus.
