If that excites you more than it scares you, you’ll fit right in Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Business Partner (SafetyCulture Care), this position is perfect for an individual looking to take the next step and grow their experience in accounting and insurance in an ambitious and fast-growing company. Your key responsibilities will include managing debtors’ aging, including reconciliations and debt collections, as well as assisting with the month-end financial close process. The ideal candidate must have great communication and collaboration skills, an eye for detail, good time management, be keen to learn and enjoy the challenge of problem solving. \n What will I be doing? Performing daily system and customer account reconciliations across our finance and insurance platforms Managing on time debt collections, including liaising with brokers and the SafetyCulture Care underwriting team Leveraging our Premium Trust Accounting application Grappler and accounting system NetSuite to maintain a healthy debtors aging Resolving queries relating to overdue payments and incorrect commissions in a professional and timely manner Managing the accuracy of debtors’ transactions and balances Assisting with the financial end-of-month close process, including posting journal entries and completing balance sheet reconciliations Completing monthly insurance underwriter reporting requirements Supporting the finance team throughout the year, particularly during financial year end, audits and other ad hoc projects What do I need? 3-4 years of accounting experience, especially with accounts receivable, credit and/or banking Experience in insurance relating to brokers and commissions highly regarded A finance related degree(preferred) – membership to a professional accounting body (e.g. CA/CPA) highly regarded Ability to follow and understand workflows between functions and systems A customer-first mindset Ability to problem solve and think ‘outside the box’ A ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness to grow your skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (required) Experience with NetSuite and quote and insurance bind systems (preferred) \n We’re committed to building inclusive teams and cultivating a sense of belonging so our people can bring their whole authentic selves to work each day.
