REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Commerce, or a related field, with 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards and their application in management reporting and best practices in a corporate environment.
- Attention to detail, business acumen, and problem-solving abilities while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- System skills in SAP and HFM with excellent working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
We are looking for a highly motivated Finance Accountant for our Corporate Finance team based in Mascot, Sydney. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, you will handle key accounting and reporting functions. This role presents an excellent opportunity for growth in a collaborative team at an AX-listed company dedicated to sustainability in a thriving market.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurate and timely monthly accounting for assigned corporate entities.
- Maintain and update HFM Smart View reporting to ensure accurate and timely financial information is available to stakeholders.
- Support the Financial Reporting Manager in preparing files for interim and annual ASC reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Sims Business Unit and customers.
- Contribute to group-wide accounting projects and initiatives, such as pension accounting, share equity transactions, etc.
