This decentralised financial accounting role supports the Australian Leisure business and requires you to have a disciplined financial control mindset, diligent work ethic, be proactive in finding solutions, have strong customer and teamwork skills, time management skills and ability to adapt in an ever-changing environment. This is a maternity leave cover contract Day to day you’ll be… * Doing month-end accounting for the Leisure business to assist in the GL close process, including Cash * Managing and recording wage Calculations and Debtors/Creditors recording. * Balance Sheet Reconciliations across the Leisure business * Protecting our business by monitoring and reviewing at-risk items * Timely and accurate preparation of monthly Profit and Loss and Balance * Assisting with half year and year end statutory audits * Constantly look to improve efficiencies within finance workflow processes * Assisting with special projects and the implementation of systems and process improvement initiatives as they arise * Ensuring compliance with company policies, relevant accounting standards and FCL minimum standards for financial systems and processes We’d love to hear from you if you have… * Interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels * Strong Adaptability * Teamwork skills * High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change, growth, and pressure * Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or similar * CA/CPA qualification * 2-3 experience in an accounting role * High competency in Microsoft Programmes - Excel, Powerpoint, Word * Strong experience with leveraging AI to enhance processes and workbooks with strong prompt knowledge.
