Job Description TOMRA are seeking a Financial Accountant to join the finance team and make a difference to the planet and Australian communities. Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will support the team with accounting, tax compliance and financial management of the Container Deposit Scheme. The role is based at our St Leonards office with flexibility to work from home. Some of the duties you may perform include: Managing accounts receivables Bank reconciliation on Scheme redemption related accounts Daily & weekly Container Deposit Scheme financial data reconciliation and internal daily report preparation Weekly cash flow reconciliation for Scheme payments Independent retailer & donation partner reporting Balance sheet reconciliation Assist in fixed asset management including FAR reconciliation Assist in the regular stock take process. Assist in handling financial processes with the finance team. Assist in monthly BAS lodgement preparation and quarterly ABS survey lodgement. Review, highlight and address accounting discrepancies. Assist in month end closing including monthly journal, accruals, and inter-company confirmation. Prepare various financial reports and projections data monthly/quarterly as required. Assist in audits and ad hoc tasks. Dealing with multiple stakeholders internally and externally Ensure safe behaviour by taking reasonable care that your actions or inactions do not adversely affect the health and safety of others Qualifications First and foremost, we are looking for people who can represent TOMRA and take pride in what they do as well as being accountable for their actions. That means making sure the financial transactions are accurate while maintaining confidentiality. Ideal candidates’ history will demonstrate professionalism, reliability and a sense of pride in what they do. We are also looking for candidates with the following skills and experience: Relevant previous experience in finance (incl. but not limited to bank reconciliation, journaling, financial reporting) CA or CPA (or working towards it) Commercial mindset Analytical mindset with high attention to detail (incl. Excel expertise) Good stakeholder management and communication skills Good time management skills Adaptability Solution, result, and process driven.
