Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Financial Accountant / Associate role is within the European component of the team, with day to day responsibility for the entities in the UK, Turkey and Malta.

WHAT YOU’LL DO



    • Month-End and Year-End Close: Responsible for the accurate and timely closing of books for entities in the UK, Turkey, and Malta, including preparing journals, reconciliations, and drafting/ reviewing financial statements

    • Audit Management: Acting as the day to day point of contact for external auditors for the assigned entities, preparing audit schedules, responding to queries, and ensuring a smooth audit process; also taking responsibility for regulatory audits where applicable
    • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards - IFRS at Group level, and local GAAPs where applicable; ensuring your entities are compliant with relevant financial controls and regulatory requirements for licensed entities
    • Financial Reporting: Drafting or reviewing year end financial statements, and preparing financial reports for local board meetings on your entities
    • Project Collaboration: Actively participate in finance-related projects both for your own entities, but also as the finance contact on larger projects, contributing accounting expertise and ensuring financial implications are considered
    • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy
