QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields. CPA/CA qualification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting or finance role, preferably within fintech, financial services, or startup environments.
• Advanced proficiency with Xero accounting software.
• Familiar with Australian financial compliance, including GST, BAS, and Superannuation.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication in English and Vietnamese.
• Comfortable working across international teams and time zones.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Financial Accountant will play a vital role in managing financial data, reconciling daily transactions, overseeing payroll, and producing timely reports that guide decision-making at the executive level. The ideal candidate will be Xero-proficient, highly analytical, and experienced in working in fast-paced, high-growth environments—ideally in the fintech or financial services space. The suitable candidate would be able to communicate fluently in both English and Vietnamese.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage daily reconciliations of all accounts and bank feeds using Xero.
• Prepare and report weekly payroll summaries across multiple jurisdictions.
• Assist in preparing monthly management reports, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and operational KPIs.
• Collaborate with the finance team to prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Ensure BAS, IAS, PAYG, and superannuation obligations (AU) are prepared and reported accurately (working alongside the Australian compliance team).
• Support financial audits and regulatory compliance across Vietnam and Australia.
• Coordinate with cross-border finance teams and payment partners to ensure smooth reconciliations and settlement matching.
• Recommend and implement improvements to systems, controls, and processes as EzyRemit continues to scale.
• Maintain documentation and procedures aligned with internal audit and regulatory expectations.
