We are looking for a hands-on experienced Senior Accountant to become part of our North American team. As our Senior Accountant you will manage the North America’s finance activities and be responsible for the finance, control, accounting and procurement activities within the regions. What will you be responsible for? Managing month-end close for North America Review, analysis, and maintenance of project financials, including contracts and variations, and the flow-on effect to the project numbers Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets. Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts Managing the annual audit Assist with external and group tax advisors to meet all state and federal tax obligations for the US and Canada Work with outsourced payroll provider to ensure payroll processing and accurate payroll reporting. Inventory management – assist with stock takes, cost analysis, identification and implementation of productivity initiates. Managing the accounts receivable and payable activities, including processing invoices, payments and generating sales invoices. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA qualification strongly preferred. 3+ years of accounting or finance experience. Experience with processing payroll Experience with accounts payable and receivables Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience using accounting software and MS Office. Understanding of IFRS 15 and its application. Strong excel and ERP systems experience Experience of Sage X3 is desirable
Responsibilities
The Senior Accountant will manage the month-end close for North America and oversee project financials, including contracts and variations. Additional responsibilities include managing the annual audit and ensuring compliance with tax obligations in the US and Canada.
