    We are seeking a Financial Accountant to supporting the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the Australia and New Zealand entities. This position is responsible for a wide range of financial accounting and reporting activities, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations and compliance with finance policies, tax laws and local regulations.

The key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Execute end-to-end financial accounting tasks, including month-end and year-end close for ANZ entities.
  • Prepare and post month-end journals, ensuring the integrity of the general ledger.
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting through regular review and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare accurate, timely financial statements, management & corporate HQ reporting in accordance with established schedules.
  • Deliver monthly operational expenditure (OPEX) analysis, providing insights to stakeholders.
  • Manage lease accounting, including recognition, measurement, and disclosure in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., AASB 16 / IFRS 16).
  • Manage fixed asset and inventory transfer processes and oversee Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) reporting.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations and liaise with global finance teams to ensure timely resolution of variances and alignment of intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure timely compliance with tax obligations, including preparation and lodgment of the Business Activity Statements (BAS), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), and withholding tax filings.
  • Prepare the equipment and consumable bundle rebate adjustments and monthly statements.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Analyst on Customer revenue and rebate calculations.

The key skills required for this role include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and local tax compliance.
  • Demonstrated proactive, adaptable approach with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in multinational or complex corporate environments preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies, recommend process improvements, and support finance teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new responsibilities and adapt quickly.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all teams.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience with SAP ERP systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel.
