We are looking for a Financial Accounting Analyst to support our Finance and Accounting departments. You are financially savvy, adept in financial forecasting, quick to learn and able to keep up in a high paced start up environment. You will support the Head of Finance in day-to-day financials and be responsible for recording and tracking the financial transactions of our company.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze financial data and provide forecasting support based on analysis.
  • Assist in financial functions, such as yearly financial audits, assessing, planning, budgeting, taxes, consolidation, cost control and project control.
  • Explore investment opportunities.
  • Identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Process and update payroll with relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules), T4s, ROEs and government remittances.
  • Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book and maintain the company books.
  • Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements.
  • Ensure GST/HST reporting, bank and credit card reconciliations, and perform periodic accounting adjustments as required.
