The role

Based in Melbourne, you'll look after day-to-day accounting and reporting, working closely with the leadership team as the business grows. It's a broad, hands-on role with plenty of variety and room to put your stamp on things.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing monthly and year-end financial statements and management reports
  • Running month-end: journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing BAS, IAS and other compliance lodgements
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Assisting with audit preparation and ad hoc finance requests
  • Keeping finance systems and processes accurate and up to date

What you'll bring

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
  • CA or CPA qualified, or working towards it
  • 3-5 years' accounting experience (commercial or public practice)
  • Good working knowledge of Australian tax and compliance requirements
  • Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar, plus solid Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines
  • Clear communication and a collaborative approach
