OVERVIEW Financial Advisor – Wealth Services Location: On-Site At Alera Group, our Wealth Services team supports individuals and families in building, protecting, and transferring wealth through comprehensive financial planning and investment strategies. We’re seeking a Financial Advisor who will contribute to client relationships, financial strategy, and operational excellence. Why Alera Group Meaningful Impact: Help clients and employees navigate benefits programs that drive retention, engagement, and satisfaction Growth & Learning: Opportunities to deepen your expertise and gain exposure to a variety of clients and industries Collaborative Culture: Work in a team-oriented environment that values accountability, partnership, and the principles of The Collaborative Way RESPONSIBILITIES What You’ll Do / Your Impact Client Experience & Advisory Support Meet one‑on‑one with prospective clients generated through firm‑sponsored marketing activities, including workshops and digital outreach Guide prospects through the onboarding process and establish long‑term advisory relationships Prepare, present, and implement customized financial plans aligned with client goals Assist clients with investment strategies focused on retirement planning Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with existing clients and firm‑provided house accounts Operational & Compliance Excellence Ensure financial plans, investment recommendations, and client documentation align with regulatory requirements and firm standards Coordinate with internal partners to support account setup, implementation, and ongoing servicing Maintain required licenses and certifications and adhere to compliance and supervisory guidelines Growth & Retention Develop and retain strong client relationships through proactive service and consistent communication Identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships through planning and investment solutions Support firm growth by converting marketing‑generated prospects into long‑term advisory clients QUALIFICATIONS What You Bring Required 6+ years of financial services experience with an emphasis on sales and client relationship management Strong understanding of investment products and financial planning strategies, particularly retirement planning Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment Preferred Series 65 or Series 7 & 66 licenses Active Connecticut Life & Health insurance license CFP® designation or progress toward certification College degree preferred Core Competencies Analytical mindset with the ability to translate client goals into actionable financial strategies Relationship‑building and long‑term client trust development Integrity, discretion, and professionalism when working with sensitive financial information ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Compensation: Salary range: $80,000 – $85,000 per year Benefits: Alera Group offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage, 401(k), generous PTO, and more.
