JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst II role exists to oversee the ongoing review of new prices, price adjustment
requests, and maintenance of all existing charge-related prices for the System. This role will also work closely with Revenue Cycle and other analytics teams.

Responsibilities
  • Provides financial analysis support to administrators and department directors. Assists in the efficient and cost-effective operation of BSWH.
  • Perform pricing analytics based on multiple data sources and provide oversight of the financial modeling associated with the System annual price changes; responsible for performing analytics, establishing methodologies, implementation, validation, and maintenance.
  • Prepares the 5-year financial operating forecast to include statistics, payer mix, payments capital, etc.
  • Prepares examination and presents and justifies findings, for any potential capital acquisitions, projects, new services, etc.
  • Provides ongoing budget vs. actual revenue and expense variance analysis. Reviews both standard and custom reports developed for the entity.
  • Prepares verbal or written results of examination of department operating efficiencies and presents/discusses them with management and others as required.
  • Develops and produces Management Reports as required/requested.
  • Prepares operating pro-formas for new services, projects, or capital as needed. Understands financial operations and works with all levels of assigned areas, finance, and clinical management/personnel to ensure examination accuracy.
  • Evaluate pricing opportunities for new care-delivery models, including but not limited to: digital health projects, new technologies, and new service lines.
  • Serves as liaison between the assigned area and Recommendation Support Services and other finance areas of BSWH, particularly Revenue Cycle Analytics projects.
  • Maintains professional growth by joining educational programs and organizations. Stays updated on current trends, practices, and developments.
  • Conducts finance training for BSWH personnel as directed.
