THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer we are seeking a Financial Analysis Senior Manager to join our team leading our Financial Operations, Finance Systems, Finance Interns and driving the broader Finance Improvement program. We’re looking for “can-do” self-starters, who have a passion for developing their team and implementing a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys collaborating with diverse stakeholders, enjoys finding opportunities for continuous improvement and can drive outcomes.
The role holds a breadth of leadership responsibilities as a member of the Finance Leadership Team and will have responsibilities for implementing best practice for financial operations across the business, enhancing workplace culture and developing the career roadmap for their diverse team. With a passion and responsibility to drive best outcomes for the business, this key leadership position will ensure that the business is supported with the appropriately skilled financial resources to deliver standardised high quality financial analysis, Estimates at Completion (EAC), cost analysis deliverables and other financial support, along with the appropriate systems, tools, processes and training.
This role is based in Brisbane and the manager can accommodate permanent or fixed term options.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of more than 50 direct and indirect reports
  • Integration of finance analysts, finance systems and finance improvement activities to drive continuous improvement and standardization across the business
  • Talent management including career roadmaps and development plans for the team
  • Provide cost effective Financial Analysis resourcing to deliver program requirements
  • Oversight of team to deliver high quality deliverables including items such as EACs, EVM, Project Accounting, Invoicing and Forecasts.
  • Spearhead the continuous improvement activities across the broader finance team using Lean Six Sigma principles
  • Engagement with the other Boeing entity Financial Analysis senior leaders to share ideas and drive best practice
  • Provide surge support and backfills to programs and business units where required
  • Actively contribute to Financial Leadership Initiatives and be a proactive member of the Finance Leadership Team
  • Collaboratively working with Business Managers and the broader finance function to meet business and program needs
  • Accountable for the development and execution of a finance systems roadmap
  • Oversight and execution of the finance intern co-hort including inductions, rotation, development and management

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant Business/Accounting/Finance degree
  • Post graduate Professional membership with CPA / CAANZ or equivalent
  • Proven leadership skills and management techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to deliver on-time with high quality
  • Financial policy and process definition
  • Change management, continuous improvement and business process automation experience desirable
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens and the ability to obtain a Defence security clearance would be required
