Description

ABOUT US:

We’re a fast-growing, innovation-driven company at the forefront of drone and robotics technology, operating across Canada in established industries such as infrastructure, logistics, and public safety. Headquartered in Mississauga, our team is expanding rapidly, united by a mission to develop smart autonomous systems that solve complex, real-world challenges. We’re hands-on, agile, and always moving forward.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re seeking a reliable and driven Financial Accountant to support our growing finance operations. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you’ll play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, enabling informed decision-making, and building systems that scale with us. This role is best suited for someone who is hands-on, highly proactive, and ready to roll up their sleeves—someone who takes initiative, thrives in fast-paced environments, and does what it takes to get the job done right.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience; background in a technology-focused or high-growth company is a strong asset
  • Solid grasp of Canadian accounting standards and financial reporting principles
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Zoho, QuickBooks) and spreadsheet tools (Excel or Google Sheets)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines
  • A self-starter who takes ownership, solves problems independently, and follows through
  • CPA designation is an asset
Responsibilities
  • Perform daily accounting tasks including journal entries, bank and account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
  • Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare internal reports and help track key financial metrics
  • Collaborate with the Director of Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory filings, and tax obligations
  • Contribute to the improvement and automation of financial processes and systems
  • Step in wherever needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly
  • Support cross-functional teams with financial input or reporting on special projects as needed
  • Participate in the implementation of new systems, controls, or workflows as the company grows
  • Take on additional assignments and responsibilities as required to support business needs
