DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS):

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the construction or related industries.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting, and advanced knowledge of Excel and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and make recommendations based on sound financial analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models to support project and corporate decision-making. Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights and recommendations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Monitor project budgets and prepare variance reports.
  • Project Cost Analysis: Evaluate project costs, profitability, and financial performance. Monitor project expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Provide detailed analysis of financial performance to senior management.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies. Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario planning for key projects.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather relevant financial data and provide insights. Present financial findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Assist in the preparation for audits and ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
  • System Improvement: Work with the finance team to improve financial processes, systems, and tools. Implement best practices in financial analysis and reporting.
