On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Financial Analyst, Banking Financial Systems for a 15-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

FINANCIAL ANALYST, BANKING FINANCIAL SYSTEMS - JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role involves providing Finance Advisory Support to Group Risk Management. The Financial Analyst will lead NIE/FTE processes, including Five Year Outlook, annual planning, and ongoing NIE forecasts. The role is crucial in managing Total GRM NIE by delivering actionable financial insights for senior management decisions.

FINANCIAL ANALYST, BANKING FINANCIAL SYSTEMS - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • CA, CMA, CGA, MBA, CFA, or equivalent
  • 5-10 years of experience in banking or financial institutions
  • Knowledge of banking products and processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in financial reporting, analysis, and cost management
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with financial systems like EPM (Cognos TM1)

FINANCIAL ANALYST, BANKING FINANCIAL SYSTEMS – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Solid business acumen
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a global finance function
  • Familiarity with cost allocation methodologies
  • Ability to establish relationships across all enterprise levels
Responsibilities
  • Proactively provide expert analysis and advice to VPs and their teams
  • Prepare quarterly forecasts, annual plans, and monthly estimates for NIE/FTE
  • Advise and develop cost allocation methodologies with business partners
  • Support the GRM Group Finance Advisor with written analyses for senior executives
  • Ensure integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial information
  • Complete monthly journal entries and associated SOD requirements
  • Seek opportunities to improve processes
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting as assigned
