About The Role
The financial analyst will jointly report to the Senior Revenue Data Scientist and the CFO. They will be exposed to various financial planning, reporting, and analysis activities, and have direct exposure to beatBread’s leadership team for analysis, research, reporting, and other ad-hoc activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Examine bank statements and reconcile them with general ledger entries
  • Examine expenses submitted by employees
  • Monitoring incoming payments from accounts receivable and outgoing payments from accounts payable
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and other ad-hoc analysis
  • Support sales tax, federal, state, and local tax reporting as needed
  • Support the design and implementation of new policies and procedures to support audit requirements
  • Prepare, post, verify, and record artist payments and transactions related to accounts
  • Receive, process, and post incoming payments
  • Assist in generating monthly artist statements
  • Formulate and generate investor-facing financial reports
  • Verify and ensure accuracy of data prior to distribution to clients
  • Resolve payment discrepancies and disputes on behalf of the company
  • Create invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers
  • Prepare, review and interpret internal financial reports

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance or equivalent.
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word
  • Interest in interacting with large amounts of data, and some prior experience with SQL and relational databases a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and problem solve; innovative.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage internal and external deadlines
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA preferred
  • Strong interest in entertainment (particularly Music) preferred
  • Certified Public Accountants / Chartered Accountants preferred
