Description Under the general supervision of the VP, Finance, the Financial Analyst assists with department functions and provides general financial analysis support in a collaborative environment with the Sr. Financial Analyst. Assist with FP&A system, including: Data preparation, manipulation, summarization and entry. System reconciliation and research. Update account mapping and allocation rules Reporting maintenance and development Provide support to budgeting and reporting end-users Gather, reconcile and prepare data files for Asset Liability Model Assist in budget and projection development in collaboration with VP, Finance & Sr. Financial Analyst Research, document and respond to management inquiries relating to financial results and budget variances Financial reporting: Develop and prepare detailed analytical trend reports Prepare and distribute budget variance reports. Prepare and distribute monthly management reporting packages. Assist in preparation of ALCO package Assist in the preparation of interest rate risk and asset liability management reports/analysis. Serve as reserve attendance for committee and other management meetings for minute documentation. Assist with daily liquidity reporting and cash flow analysis reports Responsible for updating written procedures for all related systems and reporting packages. Support other accounting and analytic job functions in a backup capacity. Performs related and unrelated duties and projects as requested. Establishes own work plan and performs work independently within scope of established guidelines and practices. Refers specific problems to direct manager or designee where clarification of policies and procedures is necessary. Requirements Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, and comply with all Federal and State Regulations, and internal banking procedures. The position requires the ability to read and interpret documents, along with the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must possess the ability to speak effectively in one-on-one groups or large groups and the ability to respond to inquiries or complaints in a professional manner. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Should be able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to banking situations. Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of complex instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills. Proficient in Adobe. Ability to learn & use industry-specific financial software Willingness to collaborate with internal & external stakeholders Preferred Qualifications: Financial modeling skills
