Chevron Singapore is hiring a number of positions in its Finance department. We expect to hire and develop finance practitioners that has both the aptitude and attitude to excel and can serve a multitude of roles through their Chevron career. Depending on the candidature, selected candidates may be placed in and rotated through any of these departments as their first assignment with Chevron.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Accounting, Reporting and Planning:
- Partners businesses in understanding financial performance and highlighting key performance deltas as well as watchpoints ahead
- Provides accounting advice and information to support management decision making and highlighting risks/ trade-offs in the process
- Performs general accounting such as retail accounting, intercompany, equity accounting, general ledger and month end close
- Prepares, analyzes and reviews reports in alignment with corporate, statutory and management reporting requirements
- Perform validation checks, analysis and commentaries for income statement, balance sheet, cashflow and various performance metrics.
- Develop Business Plan activities using competitive targets and key drivers as well as managing the YTD forecast process
- Partners with our offshore shared services center to ensure due diligence and alignment on financial outcomes
- Ensures adequate controls are in place for both integrity of financial numbers and business processes including SOX controls
- Coordinates and supports audits, as necessary
- Other responsibilities and projects as may be assigned from time to time
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Accountancy, Business or equivalent
- Between 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar capacity or external audit environment with a Big 4 company
- Strong accounting knowledge (U.S. GAAP is a plus) and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with different stakeholders
- Experience using tools such as MS Power BI and Power Apps to solve business problems
- Meticulous, highly reliable, and motivated team player with good follow through and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure in meeting tight deadlines
Work Locations:
- We will be filling the position in either Duo Tower or Jalan Buroh Terminal (Jurong)
Relocation Options:
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
International Considerations:
Selected candidate will work in the Singapore under the local payroll system and benefits.
