Job Description
As a key member of Xplor’s Corporate FP&A team you will be responsible for developing business relationships across Xplor’s global organization to provide robust analysis, forecasting, and decision support to Xplor’s senior leadership team.
We are looking for a dynamic Financial Analyst with strong analytical skills to join our growing team. This person will provide analysis, planning, and decision support coverage to business stakeholders with a focus on establishing and executing best practices in financial modeling during strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance or similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree, preference for finance, accounting or quantitative field
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; intermediate/advanced skills in Excel required, experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBI) is a plus
  • Experience with OneStream or other EPM (e.g. Hyperion) and/or Netsuite is preferred, but not require
Responsibilities
  • Develop and prepare detailed budget and forecast models to drive high-quality decision making and closely monitor business performance
  • Analyze trends in the business each month (monthly variance analysis of actuals, budgets and forecasts) and produce detailed reporting for senior management highlighting key trends, risks and opportunities
  • Support the development and implementation of improvements to planning processes and ensure alignment with the Corporate FP&A timelines, processes and practices
  • Provide insightful financial commentary on a monthly and ad-hoc basis
  • Aid decision making for senior leaders through robust financial analysis
  • Partner with FP&A and Controllership team members on continuous improvements to the financial close and reporting processes and timelines
    The average base salary for this role is typically between $70,000 - $80,000 CAD
