Description The Financial Analyst plays a key role in supporting the development of new initiatives and monitoring existing programs for the Agency. This position is responsible for supporting the Agency with treasury and finance activities including cash management, analyses, forecasts, ongoing performance analytics and reporting. The Financial Analyst will work closely with the administrative and program functions to gather, analyze, and interpret data to support actionable decision making. Requirements Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Support cash management disbursements and receipts, as well as derivative settlements and investment portfolio trades. Support budgeting and forecasting across the general fund, single-family, and multi-family indentures including performance analysis and identification of financial risks and trends. Collaborate with the accounting team on the monthly close process and reporting to support decision making. Support the accounting team with the year-end financial reporting for the investment portfolio. Provide support for the Agency’s long term financial planning and analysis, including cash flow modeling, scenario modeling, and asset/liability matching strategies and forecasting. Perform financial, economic and industry benchmarking, research, and analysis to support the management of the Agency’s balance sheet Build financial models to support strategic business decisions, business cases, and ongoing initiatives. Perform special projects and serve on task forces and committees as needed. Serve as back up to several functions in the Office of Financial Management including Treasury Operations and Portfolio Management Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Other Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or another related field from an accredited university or equivalent experience is required 3-5 years of experience in banking or finance preferred, with knowledge of cash management and finance. Understanding of capital markets and concepts of mortgage-backed securities and mortgage banking. Understanding of municipal markets and tax-exempt bond issuance with knowledge of municipal housing sector preferred. Possess strong financial analysis skills Must possess strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and math/quantitative skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to pay strong attention to detail Must possess strong working knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel Other Characteristics: Ability to work proactively and operate accurately and efficiently in a fast environment with variable deadlines Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Maintain high ethical standards of integrity and quality
