Description:
Robert Half is searching for a Financial Analyst to fill an entry-level role with a growing company. The main responsibilities of the Financial Analyst role will encompass providing daily support to the accounting and finance departments, as well as executing routine assignments and solving routine/standard problems with limited discretion. If you can handle processing a considerable amount of information while managing expectations, you may be a great fit for this Financial Analyst opportunity. Responsibilities
Collaborate with the team to reconcile data between two systems spanning multiple fiscal years.
Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze and manipulate large volumes of data effectively.
Present alternatives and suggestions to reduce costs and increase financial performance of a company
Go over closing results at the corporate and division levels
Be a factor in the development of monthly financial reporting and other business data
Previous experience in assisting internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits
From time to time be able to illustrate tricky financial subjects to non-financial staff members in special projects
Probe and query a vast amounts of data
Be conductive in ensuring adequate controls and procedures
Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Account reconciliation experience preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Proficiency in financial reconciliation
High attention to detail
Competent computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Can work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
