Description
Description We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for performing various accounting duties, including but not limited to maintaining financial records, preparing, and analyzing financial reports, data entry and processing, and assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial clerical support, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities: · Provide both routine & non-routine administrative support to management: general office duties such as addressing general accounting and finance email correspondence, digital file management, scheduling, and other general admin requests · Assist with accurate and complete financial records, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and payroll/HR related documents · Maintain digital accounting and finance files and archives, according to retention policy · Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts · Set up budgets in accounting software and monitor budget activity for grants · Reconcile grant budgets to general ledgers; create adjustments when necessary · Track and monitor grants and report out to the CFO monthly · Prepare monthly budget-versus-actual status reports for use by management and to serve as basis for reporting to funders · Submit monthly grant reimbursements requests to state/federal grantors · Assist with the year-end audit process by providing support to auditors · Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analysis · Review monthly and quarterly financial reports · Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and funder regulations · Serve as backup to staff accountant; assist with A/P, A/R, and other accounting duties as needed · Assist with special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed. Requirements · Associate or bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance or Accounting, Business Administration, Data Science, or closely related field · Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience · Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, Financial Edge/NXT a plus. · Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. · Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. · Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
