In this Financial Reporting-focused role, your insights ensure we remain financially robust and ready to serve the Montana community. What you will do: * Financial Reporting: Coordinate and oversee MSF’s quarterly financial reporting process to produce timely and accurate financial statements and accompanying reports on both a statutory and GASB accounting basis.  Oversee MSF’s accounting structure, general ledger, and financial internal controls with a goal of continuous improvement. * Management Reporting: Prepare internal financial projections, financial statement narratives, and presentations for use by MSF management and MSF’s Board of Directors. * Audit Support: Coordinate the completion of annual, independent financial statement audits on both statutory and GASB accounting bases. * Strategic Financial Analysis: Employ a strategic mindset to identify insights regarding MSF’s financial condition, trends and developments, and long-term trajectory. Participate on cross-functional teams as financial subject matter expert as needed. * Finance & Actuary Team Participation: Foster engagement within yourself and the Finance & Actuary team. Promote a customer experience mindset. Provide advice and mentorship to other members of the team. Review and approve the work of other members of the team as needed
