How will this role impact First Command? The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in strategic and operational decision-making for First Command Bank by delivering high-quality financial analysis, forecasts, and insights and asset-liability management (ALM) support. This role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, Treasury and business leaders to drive transparency into financial performance, optimize balance sheet and resource allocation, manage interest rate risk, and support both monthly close and long-term planning processes. What will the employee do in this role? General FP&A Analyst Responsibilities * Develop and maintain rolling forecasts, KPI dashboards and management reports used to evaluate bank and business line performance * Analyze financial data and maintain complex financial models to project income statement, balance sheet, and liquidity results * Ensure forecast accuracy through coordination with Accounting, Treasury, and business partners clearly documenting assumptions * Perform ad hoc projects and analysis, i.e. profitability, cost-to-serve, and balance sheet analysis, to support management decisions and enhance financial performance * Support the bank’s ALM framework, including balance sheet modeling, interest rate risk analysis, and scenario simulations * Analyze net interest income (NII), net interest margin (NIM), liquidity, and capital impacts under multiple interest rate environments * Assist with preparation of ALCO materials, dashboards, and management reporting * Partner with Treasury and Finance to support deposit pricing, loan growth strategies, and funding optimization * Any other tasks and duties as agreed with FP&A Manager   Specific Responsibilities * Prepare the annual plan, monthly reforecasts and long-range financial projections for First Command Bank and its business lines * Challenge business partners on revenue, expense, balance sheet, and funding assumptions when drivers indicate indicates potential risks and opportunities * Act as a valued business partner by providing informed, proactive analysis and business insights to enable effective decision-making and efficient resource utilization for First Command Bank * Leverage bank financial systems and planning tools (IBM PA/PAW, Jack Henry ProfitStars) to enhance forecasting accuracy, reporting automation, and analytical insight. * Support the creation of new financial reports such us profitability and cost to serve and others. What skills and qualifications do you need? Education & Work Experience * Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (accounting preferred) & 5+ years of experience; * Or requires a master’s degree in business, accounting, or finance & 2-4 years of experience Certifications  Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Experience with creating and overseeing financial models, reporting and dashboards * Experience with financial processes including month-end close, budgeting & forecasting, management reporting, variance analysis and cost allocations. * Experience supporting asset-liability management, interest rate risk analysis, or treasury-related financial modeling * Proven ability to analyze business financial performance and implement appropriate measures to maximize financial performance * Possess knowledge and skill to break down complex concepts into easy to understandable action items, including ALM concepts * Able to develop reporting and effectively present ad hoc and diverse information to executives * Working knowledge of general accepted accounting standard (GAAP), banking financial statements, and regulatory reporting concepts * Able to thrive in a team environment and contribute to team objectives * Excellent presentation building and delivery skills * Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organization skills * Strong work ethic and ability to think creatively * Displays sound judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information * Able to work flexible hours when needed   #LI-NC1  #LI-Hybrid
