Description Job Summary The Financial Analyst will support the Controller in executing finance and related functions within the organization. This role will perform specific functions within the department while also collaborating across the organization to support various initiatives. Requirements Duties and Responsibilities · Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives. · Support month-end activities to derive financial reports and related presentations. · Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. · Perform variance analysis, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management. · Support budgeting process by collaborating with department heads to create detailed budget plans and track progress against financial targets. · Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to financial health, operational efficiency, and payment integrity. · Analyze financial data and make recommendations for improving operational efficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and revenue growth. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data is integrated and consistent across the organization. · Assist in sizing total addressable market for solutions and market share of company and its competition. · Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed. · Support development of auditing, reporting, and contract modeling tools as needed for identification and analysis of rate and/or fee schedule auditing, financial performance, and contract performance as well as modeling and analysis of potential opportunities. · Maintain monthly dashboard of key indicators and external benchmarks as defined by management. · Prepare and maintain revenue models. · Review contracts/calculates provider productivity bonuses/compensation models as appropriate. · Assist in preparation of gift, grant, and contract budget proposals as needed. · Assist in oversight of financial information for all grants, contracts, and donor funding and verify that all relevant personnel are charged to the appropriate funding source via submission of a salary reallocation form as appropriate. · Support processes and systems within the accounts payable function to ensure proper validation of invoices, costs, payment terms, and related items. · Help drive automation and process improvements. · Support vendor management to include vendor setup, communication, and related items. · Support asset management and tracking. · Support supply chain operations as needed. · Support construction management activities as needed. · Support project management activities as needed. · Present financial information in a concise, consumable manner to executive leadership and stakeholders. · Utilize resources effectively and efficiently, demonstrating financial stewardship. · Prioritize work to achieve maximum results in a timely manner. · Execute relevant policies, procedures, work instructions, and forms while helping to enhance such documentation. · Collaborate with internal departments to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment with organizational priorities. · Uphold FHN’s mission, vision, and values in all professional activities. · Perform other duties as assigned. Skills, Knowledge, Credentials, and Experience Required: · Strong analytical skills and ability to derive and translate insights from data into actionable items. · Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously. · Strong organizational skills. · Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. · Excellent oral and written communication skills. · Ability to navigate ambiguity while working toward greater clarity. · Extremely high level of professionalism regarding confidential and private information. · Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. · Experience with business intelligence platforms. · Bachelor Degree in Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field. · One or more years of relevant experience. Preferred: · Experience with databases and/or programming languages. · Graduate Degree in Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field. · Three or more years of relevant experience. Special Requirements Work Hours: 40-hour workweek, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. This position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. It requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment. It also requires a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. This position may require travel between sites and the ability to interact with others in both small and large group settings. At times, this position may include periods of extended physical activity, such as walking/standing at community events and/or moving and distributing educational materials.
