About the role: The team member will act as liaison with other GM Financial departments and provide support for portfolio accounting, reporting and analysis of business reports for management including, reconciliation and adjustment of General Ledger accounts and quantitative analysis of monthly lease portfolio activity.

  • Support weekly and monthly reporting & analysis related to OEM sales incentives and other marketing programs.
  • Support routine reporting & analysis related to OEM F&I (Finance & Insurance) programs along with GM Financial Protections programs.
  • Prepare monthly management level reports including, but not limited to Month-End general ledger account analysis, Lease Credit Loss performance review & analysis and F&I / Protections data analysis.
  • Assist in routine monthly and weekly general ledger journal entries, related to lease originations activities.
  • Assist in completing and resolving monthly account reconciliations as required.
  • Prepare and upload manual accounting entries to the Oracle general ledger application based on supporting analysis, as required.
  • Support Canadian accounting lease/loan system defect management, enhancement, and process development management for applications such as AutoSuite. Including routine and non-routine reporting and analysis based on transactions and processing.
  • Act as liaison with other GM Financial departments and provide support and monthly reports as needed.
  • Document compliance with company policies, procedures and SOX controls (EUCA).
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Proficient with Excel, and other Microsoft Office products

EXPERIENCE:

  • Secondary School required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance (preferred), or equivalent College Diploma.
  • Enrolled in, or completion of, CPA Program preferred, but not required.
  • 1-2 years accounting experience in a Financial Analyst role or related field preferred, but not required.
