Job Title: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst
Department: Finance & Accounting
Reports To: Senior Finance Director
Location: El Segundo, CA (Hybrid – Tuesday and Wednesday in-office, subject to change)
Annual Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000
Classification: Exempt/ Full-Time

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education - BA/BS in Finance or 1-3 years of experience working in finance related field
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to digest large and complex data sets to present clear and concise analysis
  • Working knowledge of the accounting cycle and financial statements
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness towards work product
  • Ability to communicate effectively across various channels, written and spoken
  • Interest in D2C subscription business models is essential

Responsibilities

ABOUT THIS ROLE:

Growing team is seeking an FP&A Analyst. This role is responsible for delivering commercial analysis, financial planning, and performance reporting that directly supports business growth and operational decision-making. This role will specifically support the Kind Science team under GR LLC.
Our ideal candidate is driven and astute – someone who thrives on uncovering insights through careful analysis and critical thinking.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Financial Close: Prepare, analyze, and distribute financial statements and reporting including the P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and expense reporting including clear and concise variance analysis.
  • KPI Reporting: Develop deep understanding of key business drivers and regularly publish to stakeholders, key metrics such as D2C shipments, AOV, subscriber metrics, churn, and others. Present clear analysis of trends and variances to support team visibility and accountability.
  • Financial Forecast: Support P&L forecasting in annual budgeting and forecast cycles with customer level metrics and fixed costs projections, ensuring alignment to management team on strategic objectives
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Form trusted relationships with department leaders and key stakeholders across the company to facilitate financial decision making in the areas of marketing and operations
