Description Position Overview We are seeking a highly analytical and systems-oriented Financial Analyst to support operational and financial performance across our homebuilding company. This role is ideal for someone who can bridge finance, data, and operations—leveraging systems and datasets to drive actionable insights. The Financial Analyst will play a key role in developing reporting, improving data visibility, supporting the close process, and partnering with stakeholders across land, construction, and sales. Success in this role requires strong financial acumen, technical capability, and the ability to communicate insights clearly and effectively. Key Responsibilities Financial & Operational Analysis Weekly reporting inclusive of Job Status, Sales Profitability, Inventory, and ad hoc requests Analyze key reporting drivers, including direct construction costs, cycle times, and absorption rates Work directly with operations to generate inputs that support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes Perform financial statement analysis, including variance analysis and trend identification Work with operations to identify overspending, providing detailed, account-level analysis to support decision-making Data & Systems Enablement Ensure the accuracy of data and inputs within the ERP to ensure reporting integrity Develop and maintain automated reports and dashboards to improve visibility into business performance Partner with business teams to enhance the comprehension and accuracy of reporting Identify opportunities to streamline processes through improved reporting and automation Accounting & Close Support Assist with monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting deliverables Perform account-level budget variance reviews to ensure the accuracy of monthly financials Partner with business teams to ensure capture of spend and accurate accruals Business Partnership Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, construction, land, and sales to generate reporting on deals Present findings and recommendations to management in a clear and concise manner Proactively surface insights and support decision-making across the organization Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required Exposure to Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred Experience 1–4 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or a related field Experience in homebuilding, real estate, construction, or a similarly operationally complex industry preferred Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, data manipulation, and analysis) Experience working with ERP systems and large datasets Familiarity with BI and data visualization tools preferred Core Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to connect financial results to operational drivers Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work cross-functionally Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to identifying issues and opportunities Why Join Us Exposure to the full homebuilding lifecycle—from land acquisition through home delivery High-visibility role within a growing regional builder Opportunity to drive impact through improved reporting, analysis, and business insight
