This position is a hybrid position and the candidate must reside in Texas. PRIMARY FUNCTION/RESPONSIBILTY The Financial Analyst will analyze past financial performance and report on this performance in a meaningful way to organizational leadership. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Analyze business and financial data. * Creates financial models and reporting to support organizational decision making. * Enters data into financial system and reviews income statement and balance sheet for accuracy. * Completes ad hoc analysis for organizational leaders and external stakeholders. * Develops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data. * Helps conducts audits/monitoring of external providers. * Improve process flows and find efficiencies when necessary. * Performs other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Required: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. * Two years of professional experience in accounting or financial analysis. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). * Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards. * Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis. * Thorough understanding of project management. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Strong Excel skills. * Prior Medicaid/Medical billing experience. Certifications/Licenses/Registrations: * Valid Texas Driver’s License, good driving record, ability to provide own transportation and proof of current automobile insurance. * Pending trainings/license as required by SJRC Texas/Belong. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND INFORMATION * Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. * Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. * Must have the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
