Job Summary: The Financial Analyst supports the Accounting and Finance functions through a combination of general accounting activities, financial data entry, and financial analysis. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the monthly close process, and preparing reports and analyses to assist management in understanding business performance. Employees thrive in a culture that values craftsmanship, technical mastery, and close partnership with customers solving complex challenges   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: General Accounting & Data Entry * Enter financial transactions accurately into the accounting system, including journal entries and adjustments * Maintain and update general ledger accounts and supporting schedules * Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable data entry and reconciliations as needed * Prepare and maintain balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations * Review transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper classification * Organize, file, and maintain accounting records and documentation Close & Accounting Support * Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes * Assist with audit requests by gathering schedules and supporting documentation * Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounting records * Work closely with the Accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Financial Analysis & Reporting * Prepare routine financial reports for internal management * Perform basic variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and prior periods * Compile and analyze financial data to identify trends and anomalies * Maintain Excel-based reports, schedules, and tracking tools Process & Team Support * Respond to internal financial and accounting inquiries * Assist with process improvements related to data accuracy and reporting efficiency * Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Accounting and Finance teams as needed   Education: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred   Experience: * 2–5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial analysis   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements * High level of accuracy and attention to detail * Strong data entry and organizational skills * Analytical mindset with the ability to work with financial data * Ability to manage routine tasks while meeting deadlines * Clear written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software * ERP system experience preferred, specifically JDE   Physical Requirements: * Employee is occasionally required to stand * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk throughout the facility * This position is occasionally sedentary; Therefore, required to sit * Occasionally will need to bend, stoop and squat * Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds * Required to reach with hands and arms to handle documents and products * Must be able to enter data into a computer by use of a key board and mouse and be able to sit for long periods at his/her desk as well as occasionally visit employees throughout the building to gather data and clarify information   Work Environment: * The work environment conditions are typical of a manufacturing environment.
