You will work closely with finance leadership and division managers to provide reporting, analysis, reconciliations, and operational support while helping develop tools and processes that improve decision-making. You will assist with financial reporting, forecasting, reconciliations, transaction review, and process improvement efforts while contributing to the agency's continued focus on financial transparency, accountability, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Key responsibilities and day to day responsibilities of this position: Prepare and distribute recurring financial reports, dashboards, and performance metrics. Assist with monthly financial forecasting, budget monitoring, and financial reporting activities. Conduct reconciliations and research discrepancies to ensure accurate financial records and reporting. Review and process financial transactions while ensuring compliance with agency policies, procedures, and internal controls. Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that support operational and financial decision-making. Support cost accounting, workload analysis, and resource allocation initiatives. Assist with process improvement efforts designed to increase efficiency, transparency, and accuracy. Maintain financial coding structures and support accurate financial reporting across programs and divisions. Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the agency to provide financial support, answer questions, and identify solutions to business challenges. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum or "day-one" qualifications: Experience analyzing, reconciling, researching, or reporting financial, operational, or business data. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar spreadsheet applications. Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret information accurately. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Preferred or trainable/on-the-job qualifications: Experience creating dashboards, reports, or data visualizations. Experience using Excel functions such as Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, Power Query, or similar analytical tools. Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, accounting, auditing, business intelligence, or performance reporting. Experience identifying process improvements and implementing solutions. Familiarity with public-sector finance, governmental budgeting, or financial compliance practices.
