Description

Job Title: Financial Analyst
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid • 3 days/week onsite – Tuesday mandatory)
Duration: 15 months
Contract Type: T4/IC
Pay Rate: $52.42/Hour

The Senior Analyst is accountable for:

  • Populating month end reports with financial results and other applicable information needed to perform required analysis.
  • Lead in the analysis and investigation of month end variances (revenue and expenses).
  • Lead in the population of the forecast and plan models.
  • Accumulate and gather required information to address external and internal ad hoc requests.
  • Identify and recommend improvement opportunities for processes, workflows and client services.
  • Support and assist team members with modeling and analysis, as required.

Must Have Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ worth of experience Accounting/Finance background
  • Prior experience with forecasts, management reporting , journal entries (closing the books) and reconciliation ideally in large corporation
  • Excel: Pivot tables, macros etc
  • University degree preferably with accounting/finance
  • Advanced communication skills

Nice to have skills/experience:

  • Working towards a professional accounting, or finance designation – CA, CMA, CGA, CPA, and/or CFA

Education/Certifications:

  • University degree preferably with accounting/finance
