FINANCIAL ANALYST – INTERMEDIATE

Experienced finance professional needed for a hybrid 12-month contract in the insurance sector. Support budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and month-end analysis using Excel, Hyperion, and Tableau. Ideal for candidates with 5+ years’ experience and a background in IT and capital project evaluation.

• Develop and analyze business cases and cost-benefit analyses (CBAs) for IT and capital projects.
• Perform detailed financial modeling and provide custom financial analysis for large-scale initiatives such as outsourcing.
• Prepare accurate budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis reports.
• Deliver insightful variance commentary and financial reporting to leadership.
• Provide financial assessments incorporating tax and commodity considerations.
• Support month-end close activities and financial reporting processes.
• Review and assess IT investment business drivers to tailor financial recommendations.
• Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
• Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel (including macros), Hyperion, and Tableau to conduct data analysis and reporting.
• Understand and interpret IT contracts and service agreements for financial implications.
