Description:
DESCRIPTION:
- The Financial Planning Unit in the Ministry of Health is looking to fill two temporary contract Budget Analyst positions within their team.
- Reporting to the Manager, as a Budget Analyst, you will work in a small team responsible for collecting and analyzing financial data to produce ministry forecasts and budgets.

Responsibilities:
- Monitoring the Ministry budget and assisting with preparation quarterly forecasts.
- Collaborating and working closely with program area clients at various levels to analyze, validate and explain spending trends against budget, develop the forecast and explain the variances.
- Consolidating and analyzing large amounts of financial information and communicating to various stakeholders differently depending on the audience.
- Maintaining and monitoring financial system coding and reports.
- Reviewing contracts and grants for budget availability.
- Preparing government Estimates, Committee of Supply Briefings, Annual Report and Quarterly Fiscal Updates.
- Providing clear and concise financial advice and guidance to client areas.
- Responding to ad-hoc and urgent financial requests, and
- Other duties as required.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 9 months
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
