Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst I to support day-to-day financial operations across multiple entities. This role is responsible for maintaining financial records, supporting month-end and periodic close processes, and preparing recurring financial reports and analyses. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working in Excel, and able to operate independently within established processes while maintaining accuracy and consistency. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the reliability of financial data and supporting the organization with timely and accurate information. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Operations & Close Support Maintain and update financial schedules, including depreciation, amortization, and other supporting schedules Prepare and post journal entries (e.g., credit cards, depreciation, and other recurring entries) Perform bank reconciliations and prepare financial statements for real estate entities (quarterly) Execute recurring financial processes with a high degree of accuracy and consistency Compliance & Entity Management Support compliance-related processes including multi-state filings (e.g., sales tax) and corporate filings Assist with maintaining entity records and ensuring required filings are completed on time Reporting & Data Analysis Prepare recurring financial reports including gross margin analysis and billing-related reports Extract, validate, and reconcile data from ERP systems to ensure reporting accuracy Maintain and update large Excel-based financial models and reporting tools Fixed Assets & Debt Tracking Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation updates Prepare and update amortization schedules for notes payable Ensure all supporting schedules tie to the general ledger and financial statements Systems & Data Integrity Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data across systems (ERP, expense platforms, etc.) Identify and correct data inconsistencies in reporting inputs Follow established processes for data validation and quality control Ad Hoc Support & Business Requests Respond to data requests from project teams by pulling and organizing relevant financial information Assist in refining and iterating on analysis as additional information becomes available Support administration of corporate credit card platform (e.g., issuing cards, resolving issues) within defined guidelines CORE COMPETENCIES Strong attention to detail and accuracy Organizational skills and ability to manage recurring deadlines Analytical thinking with a practical, problem-solving mindset Ability to follow structured processes and identify exceptions Clear communication and willingness to ask questions when needed Reliability and ownership of assigned responsibilities REQUIREMENTS 2–4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field Strong proficiency in Excel (including working with large or complex spreadsheets) Experience supporting month-end close, reconciliations, or financial reporting Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Location Livermore, California Department Administration - AD Employment Type Regular Full Time Minimum Experience Entry-level Compensation $33.00 - $43.00
