Description Job Title: Financial Analyst Location: Newark, DE (Fully Onsite) Reports To: Controller Status: Exempt _____________________________________________________________________ Position Summary: The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing analytical support, financial reporting, and forecasting to help drive business performance. In addition to core analytical duties, this role will also manage the full cycle of Accounts Payable (AP) invoice processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment of vendor obligations. This hybrid role is ideal for candidates with strong analytical abilities who are also highly detail-oriented in transactional accounting. Duties and Responsibilities: Financial Analysis & Reporting Analyze financial results and variances; prepare monthly and quarterly management reports. Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including consolidations and scenario modeling. Build and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making. Provide insights into trends in revenue, costs, margins, and operational KPIs. Partner with operational leaders to interpret data, develop recommendations, and track performance against goals. Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Prepare ad-hoc analyses supporting strategic projects, capital investments, and cost optimization. Accounts Payable Processing Receive, review, code, and process AP invoices in accordance with company policies. Ensure proper approvals and resolve discrepancies with vendors or internal departments. Maintain vendor records, W-9 information, and payment terms. Monitor the AP aging report and support cash flow planning. Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Assist with 1099 year-end reporting and audit requests. Improve AP workflows and support automation initiatives. Requirements Qualifications/Job Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required with 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience. The candidate must have attention to detail with proficient excel skills. The successful candidate will be a fast learner with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet required deadlines. In addition, the candidate will have good judgment, analytical skills and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently on assigned projects without the need for close supervision. Must be ethical, professional, and confidential. Work Environment/Physical Demands: Works indoors in a temperature-controlled environment. Position requires walking, standing, sitting, and transporting up to 40 lbs. Requires good judgment, good problem-solving, communication, computer skills, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
