Description
Apave Cameroon is currently recruiting on behalf of CAMALCO CAMEROON S.A., a subsidiary of a major multinational corporation. Based in the Adamawa Region, this large-scale mining project is dedicated to the responsible and sustainable development of bauxite resources. As a project of national strategic importance, it is set to drive local industrialization, job creation, and community development. Mission The FINANCIAL ANALYST (M/F) is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of accounting and financial reporting for the project. Main Responsibilities Ensure accuracy and compliance of accounting and financial reporting. Prepare monthly and annual closings, tax returns (DSF), and internal financial reports. Perform bank reconciliations, budget monitoring, payroll, and cash calls. Respond to audit queries and follow up on implementation of recommendations. Maintain accurate accounts payable/receivable records and update the fixed asset register. Support internal control and continuous improvement of financial processes. This position is based in Douala. Education: Degree in Finance, Accounting or Audit (Master’s level or equivalent). Experience: More than 8 years’ experience in a renowned audit firm. Industry Experience: Experience in industrial or manufacturing setup is an asset. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAGE or equivalent. Attributes: High level of accuracy, autonomy, analytical skills, and ability to work under pressure. Knowledge: Solid knowledge of OHADA accounting standards, local tax regulations, and internal control principles. Languages: Strong command of English (written and spoken).
