The Financial Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the financial health and operational efficiency of the Taunton site. This position is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial insights through cost analysis and variance reporting. By partnering closely with both finance and operations teams, the analyst ensures that leadership has the data and analysis needed to make informed decisions and drive performance toward company goals.
This role exists to bridge financial strategy with day-to-day manufacturing operations. The Financial Analyst will establish and maintain standard costs, perform detailed variance analysis, and support month-end close activities. The position also contributes to strategic planning, while taking on special projects assigned by the Site Controller and/or stakeholders. Success in this role requires not only strong accounting fundamentals but also curiosity and adaptability to work within ERP systems and evolving manufacturing processes. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the analyst will interact with stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis & cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to analyze financial data & trends.
  • Proficiency in financial concepts & math
  • Experience with analytic tools & software, such as SQL, Excel, etc.

Responsibilities

Deliver Financial Insights
Conduct detailed cost analysis and establish standard costs to support operational and strategic decision-making. Provide ongoing financial analysis to site leadership.
Lead Month-End Close Activities
Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. Prepare and distribute management reports that highlight key financial metrics and trends.
Support Cross-Functional Financial Needs
Provide non-routine financial data and insights to the Multi-Site Controller, Operations Controller, Business Unit Controller, and other internal stakeholders as needed.
Drive Continuous Improvement
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including World Class Manufacturing (WCM), loss identification, and cost-reduction efforts. Use financial data to identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
Execute Special Projects
Complete ad hoc projects and financial analyses assigned by the Site Controller. These may include deep dives into cost drivers, capital investment evaluations, or process improvement initiatives.
