HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE: The Financial Analyst is a key contributor within MountainSeed’s Finance organization, supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting across all business lines. This role helps translate financial data into accurate, timely insights that inform leadership decisions and support MountainSeed’s continued growth. IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL GET TO: Planning & Forecasting * Support the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting processes across all business lines, partnering closely with department heads and senior leadership. * Develop and maintain monthly financial and cash flow forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities. * Build and maintain financial models to support scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and long-range planning. * Assist with capital allocation analysis and support M&A or investment evaluation efforts through financial modeling and data gathering as needed. Reporting & Analysis * Own weekly metric and scorecard reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. * Prepare materials for and participate in monthly P&L and budget review meetings with leadership and business line managers, supporting clear variance explanations and forward-looking commentary. * Analyze historical results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and deliver actionable recommendations to improve financial performance. * Evaluate actual results against budget and forecast and clearly communicate drivers of performance and their business implications. * Support the preparation of regular decks for board meetings. Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Partnership * Identify opportunities for process improvement across FP&A workflows and communicate recommendations to the Finance team, including development of standardized and ad-hoc reports and automated reporting tools. * Partner with the broader Finance team and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial reporting. * Champion data quality and reporting best practices, leveraging BI tools and FP&A platforms to scale analytical capabilities. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE: Education & Experience * Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business required; MBA or advanced degree a plus. * 2+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or a related field required. * CPA or CFA designation a plus. * Experience in Real Estate, Private Equity, Banking, M&A, or financial services strongly preferred. Technical Skills * Proficiency in Excel required, including complex financial modeling, dynamic formulas, and data visualization. * Experience with Tableau preferred; demonstrated ability to build and maintain dashboards and analytical reports. * Familiarity with Vena or similar FP&A/budgeting platforms preferred. * Experience with QuickBooks or Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central a plus. * Exposure to SQL or other data querying tools a plus. * Exposure to Claude or other AI tools a plus.
