About us

Cedarstone is a London-based firm building an independent foreign exchange research and currency risk advisory business. Our focus is private clients, family offices and businesses across the UK, Europe and the Middle East. We're a small team at an early stage, so you'll learn fast, see how a research business is built from the ground up, and take on real responsibility early.

About the role

We're looking for a numerate, curious person to join us as a Financial Analyst. This is a genuine entry-level role, and we'll train you on the job. We care more about your attitude and potential than your CV.

What you'll do

• Gather and organise macro and currency market data, such as interest rates, inflation and central bank decisions
• Help build and maintain spreadsheets, charts and simple models in Excel
• Support the preparation of research notes and market updates, including checking figures and summarising key events
• Help prepare internal financial reports covering budgets, forecasts and actual costs
• Explain what the numbers show in plain English, both in writing and in team discussions
• Help improve how we work, for example by tidying up templates or automating repetitive tasks

What we're looking for

• Comfortable working with numbers and keen to learn
• Basic Excel skills, such as formulas and simple tables (we'll teach you the rest)
• Clear communication, written and spoken
• Organised and careful with detail

Nice to have, but not required

• A degree in finance, economics, accounting, maths or similar, or equivalent experience
• An interest in currency markets, the economy or central banks
• Any exposure to Power BI or other data tools
