Description Role Summary Summary and overall objectives of the job. The Financial Analyst is responsible for creating reliable financial data models, analysis and schedules that the CFO will use to evaluate business unit performance and to forecast future performance. The analyst will assume responsibility for keeping dashboards and other reports current and be instrumental in creating new analysis to drive business decisions. This position reports directly to the CFO. Essential Functions Understand the Company’s existing systems for recording and extracting data and reports. Prepare financial reports/documents needed for weekly borrowing base submission. Review and analyze financial statements and reports. Assist leaders, executives, board members with financial data and forecasts. Track KPIs (DPO, DSO, DIO, Cashflow Forecast) and prepare financial reports. Assist with budgeting, understand key business drivers. Develop financial projections, build and assist project teams with financial models. Build workflows and automations to increase the productivity and avoid errors from manual efforts. Maintain assigned datasets, identify errors, conduct research on errors and recommend solutions. Maintain automated workflow and reports to ensure the business continuity. Collaborate with appropriate staff to gather input and feedback concerning financial reports/models. Investigate, resolve issues and problems related to system platforms (Power BI, BambooHR, data entry error in Sage/Biznet). Analyze system design alternatives and identify potential improvements to existing systems and processes. Perform other duties as assigned Core Competencies High Proficiency with Excel – pivot tables, functions, filtering, graphing, and modeling. Proficient in reporting tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, etc. Ability and drive to learn new systems and technologies. Understanding of how to review and self-validate work products for accuracy and validity of assumptions. Requirements Education and/or Experience and Physical Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in finance or business or a closely related field. 1-2 Years of experience in an analyst role, accounting preferably. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time during the shift. Bend, move, lift, carry and kneel Lift up to 25 pounds or more, over 50 pounds with assistance. Finger, wrist and hand dexterity with repetitive motion
